One can hear all kinds of insane stuff on Paltalk. For example, in a room discussing Obama's credentials and the legality of Obama assuming the Presidency, one can hear one crazy comment after another. People in the room often want to change the topic to discuss how awful Islam is, or claim that Obama is a terrorist or a communist, or discuss a world-wide communist conspiracy or a world-wide Islamist conspiracy. They then rant and rave and spew all kinds of nonsense.
The participants often do not have a clue what they are talking about and exhibit their lack of knowledge and literacy over and over. One said the "electorial college" is formed by congress members only, and is never affected by voter fraud, so the ACORN scandal is irrelevant (??). One called McCain a "Beezlebug" (whatever that is). It would be comical except that these characters are not really trying to make jokes.
One room member made a phone call to a staffer working for his senator, and played it live in the room to a few dozen listeners. The staffer did not know who vetted presidential candidates, if anyone, and was subject to about an hour of abuse. The caller identified himself as someone who is on disability since he was released from a mental hospital. Although he might have been joking, I started to wonder as he continued. The staffer said he was not allowed to give his personal opinion about political issues since he is a federal employee. The caller said he was in the same boat since being on SSI means he is a federal employee (??!!??). The caller ranted and raved and got nowhere. The staffer was very polite but did not give him any information that was useful. It made me very uncomfortable to listen to this exchanged.
Many of those who heard this call live later said that they thought the caller had not approached it in the right way. The caller became incensed, and cursed everyone saying that he had years and years of experience of calling staffers and that it never does any good since they "come and go like hookers". Is this a surprise that he never gets anywhere with this approach?
When I questioned this approach, and said that we needed to be effective rather than spinning our wheels, I was told I was "godless" and a "muslim asskisser". Wow. With these kinds of allies, who needs enemies?
