I have heard some amazing things about various faiths in Skypeland. A young man from Saudi Arabia told us all kinds of things about the Shiites, including the fact that Imam's have First Night rights with young brides and their "worship" of the dead and prophesies about the 12th Imam. There are a lot of proclamations in this thesis that are associated with whether it is permissible to eat a chicken after you have had sex with it, or not. Ah, sounds like some very important questions for a religious leader to ponder...
Addendum: A UK gentleman heard me discussing this with an Iranian man and he became incensed that we were laughing about it. He said that the pope discouraging the use of condoms was just as bad as these pronouncements of the Ayatollahs. Well yes, and no...It is interesting what people get upset about.
