The US went to Iraq for its oil

One claim I have heard over and over in Skypeland is that the US went to Iraq for its oil, or even to steal Iraq's oil. The US actually gets very little oil from Iraq. This a table that gives the amount of oil the US buys from foreign countries:
http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/dnav/pet/pet_move_neti_a_EP00_IMN_mbblpd_m.htm (is buying oil at market prices the same as stealing it?)

Interestingly, many countries import oil from the US, including:

Turkey, Morocco, Lebanon, South Africa, Netherlands, Denmark, Croatia, China, Australia and many others. A total of 43 countries imported oil from the US in the last 6 months.

Hmm...does this mean that these countries are stealing American oil? Should the US declare jihad against Turkey, Morocco, and Lebanon for stealing US oil?
