A young man who claimed to be from a "country under tret" from Iran entered our room in Skypeland. An Iranian noted that this young man had an Iranian accent. He asked if we were in favor of shutting down the Iranian nuclear program. We said we were.
So I asked him if he was in favor of the Iranian nuclear program or not. He said he was neutral. I asked him about 50 times why he was neutral but he refused to answer. I said the main reason I was against the Iranian nuclear program was that they had signed the nonproliferation agreement, and refused to abide by it. I asked him why Iran was allowed to be the only country that would sign that treaty and could ignore it. He had nothing to say, and refused to answer, even though I asked him over and over, in more and more aggressive fashion. He had nothing at all to say. He said he was from Turkey, but could not speak Turkish. We asked if he was ashamed of the country he was in, and he refused to answer. At that point, a man from Germany entered the room to spew nonsense and declare himself a Nazi in broken English. This turned into a cacaphony of nonsense, distracting everyone. Right after this, one of the people with a long history of dumber objections entered to spew non sequiturs as well, making things even more confused.
After this interruption, we started to talk to the man under "tret" again and he said that Iraq had never broken any international laws. I described the entire run-up to the first gulf war and the United Nations and IAEA problems with Sadam and his violations before the second gulf war. After all that, the man under "tret", as though he had heard nothing, said that did not explain anything about the second gulf war. Oh brother...he did not absorb or hear a word...
