Any Muslims in the US?

Many times in Skypeland, I have heard Muslims express shock and suprise and disbelief when I tell them that there are Muslims in the USA. This is ludicrous. The Mayor of Los Angeles is Iranian. There is a Muslim congressman. There is a candidate for president trained in a Muslim madrassas. The US has 1200 Mosques. There are towns in Michigan which are more than half Muslim. There are almost more Muslims in the US than there are in Saudi Arabia. There are Muslim mosques on US military bases. There are Muslim chaplains in the US military.

I cannot believe how little these people know...wow...
