A Muslim addendum

A young Muslim lady spoke to me right after I talked to our suicide bomber friend in Skypeland from Tunis. She said it was sad when I told her about it. But she was positive that the US is stealing the Muslim's oil. And that 10 US soldiers were dying everyday in Iraq. The real figures are found at

and vary between 1 and 4 a day in the worst months, on average. She also said that the US did not care about its soldiers at all.

She also told me that most of the suicide bombings are done by Christians and many by Jews. I hardly knew what to say to that. I guess I have heard of some Palestinian Christians that were suicide bombers, but somehow I get the impression that such events are fairly rare. I need to find the statistics on this.

I asked her where she got her information. She said she did not get it from Al Jazeera or any news source; she did not care about news. I asked where she got her news. She said it is what people say. I asked why she believed it. She had no response. I said I could demonstrate to her that this information she had was false. She said that people lie all the time. I asked her why I should believe that Islam is a religion of peace. She said because it is. I said the evidence does not seem to show it. I gave her the example of the Tunis suicide bomber wannabe.
