As I previously noted in this blog, there are a lot of problems with getting in the middle of arguments in Skypeland. Another problem with jumping between two combatants is that most internet disputes, and in particular Skypeland conflicts, have long deep roots. If one stumble across some contretemps, it is very easy to reach the wrong conclusion. If you observe a short battle out of context, and do not realize that there was a 2 year discussion that lead up this encounter you observed, you might be missing a huge amount of background information which you can use to interpret the conversation.
People might behave in ways which seem irrational, if you do not know that they were brutalized or threatened for weeks or months previously. People might say things that appear unreasonable, if you do not have any historical context to help with the interpretation of the situation.
