I know better

Another interesting phenomenon in Skypeland that I have noticed is the tendency for people who are outside Iran, or Palestine, or Iraq, to make sweeping inaccurate statements about the situation and conditions inside those countries. What makes this more interesting in Skypecasts is that often people from Iran, Palestine and Iraq can be present at the time these statements are made and comment on them. I find it quite amazing and amusing how someone who has never been to Iran will claim in the face of huge amounts of evidence to the contrary a certain claim about conditions inside Iran. Even disagreement by an Iranian, live, will do nothing to dissuade or discourage them. They are POSITIVE they are correct, and the Iranian is wrong about what it is like inside Iran (the same holds true for Iraq and Palestine). They completely discredit themselves.

People are strange creatures. Do these people realize how ridiculous they appear when they exhibit this kind of behavior?
